Use organic Pyrethrin insecticides while decreasing the risk to bees and other beneficial insects

Organic Pyrethrin insecticides give greater peace of mind because they’re protecting your garden with botanical ingredients. However, because they are powerful, they can sometimes be harmful to bees and other beneficial insects.  Here are some tips to minimize the risk of harm to these beneficial insects.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


• Do not apply the product directly to bees.

• Apply insecticide in the evening, when bees are not active. This gives the product the most time to dry before the bees become active again.

• Only apply insecticide to non-flowering plants when possible.

• Do not apply insecticides in moderate or strong winds as it can blow the product to other unintended places, such as flowers.
