Leading Universities recommend using a rotation of 2 or 3 different baits to overcome resistance and aversion in German Cockroaches. No one bait works 100% of the time, but by using two or more different baits, roaches that are not killed by the first bait are more likely to be killed by the second or third bait. You are then more likely to kill 100% of the roaches. The above kits come with two different formulations to help kill resistant and averse German Cockroaches.

Alpine Roach Bait -Rotation 1 Details
All Alpine formulations contain the active ingredient dinotefuran, a new nonrepellent to the pest control industry that the EPA has granted reduced-risk status for public health use.
The active ingredient is safer around people, pets, and the environment, yet is tough on household roaches. In fact, roaches almost can't resist the bait formulation of Alpine, and once they feed on the bait they will transfer it to other roaches causing eventual death. Labeled for use indoors and outdoors and even sensitive areas such as food-handling establishments, food and feed processing plants, hospitals and nursing homes.
- Attractive to bait-averse cockroaches
- Labeled for use in food handling areas
- Starts killing roaches within hours
University Entomologists recommend rotating between 2 -3 baits to avoid bait "aversion" and "resistance". Aversion is where some roaches don’t like the taste of a particular bait, and they don’t eat it. The roaches that eat the bait die, but the roaches that do not like the taste of that bait, do not eat it, and they live, reproduce, and all their offspring inherit the dislike of that particular bait. Resistance is when roaches eat a particular bait but they don’t die. These roaches have built up a tolerance to that bait and will pass on that tolerance to their offspring.
Thankfully, the manufacturer of Alpine Cockroach Bait Gel has developed an arsenal to combat these common difficulties. Alpine Cockroach Gel Bait Rotation 2 has the same active ingredient, dinotefuran but contains different food attractants, ensuring all of the roaches will eat the bait. We recommend treating every 3 days with a different bait and DO NOT STOP until 100% of your roaches are gone. If you stop before they are 100% gone, the survivors will be stronger than before.
